Lesson 1: So You Want to Save the World
I am a natural dreamer. Oh! I also love tales a lot. Thanks to tales by moonlight and the pretty unending African tales. In fact, some of my favorites had to do a lot with the terrific tortoise and her rough hatchback.
But, my stories did not end in the physical world, it followed me into my dreams. I could practically dream about anything. As I grew older, I became more than a dreamer, I wanted to save the world, but in no particular character like Bat or Spider Woman, if there were any characters like that.
I had dreams, goals and ideas that could save the world in one piece. To me, it was like solving a juggle puzzle. It all had to make sense. Everyone had to fit into it. You just must catch the fire. No piece must be left out. But life did not make much sense in the real world, except in my dreams, where I was a super hero and everyone knew it so.
It's been long I have been dreaming and I need to tell you these, if you want to save the world too.
Life is not a Puzzle
You don't have to force every piece of life together. In trying to do so, you will make unstable bonds and compromise the entire foundation you are trying to build in the first place. You cannot be at every place, at all times, making a change at different points with no focus and plan. You don't have to change everyone, every place and make it complete like you think. Probably, impacting a small child out of the whole is the key to the killing the fire of disharmony or reigniting a good cause. May be, paying attention to the negligible few is the answer to world's problem. So why forcing your way to solving the entire puzzle, bring together the eligible few. That's how to make a change.
I will leave you with a poem by an unknown monk
When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.
I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.
When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town.
I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.
Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.
Hello young dreamer, may be all you need is to change yourself. May be, all you need is to additionally discipline to write the path to which that change was made. May be that is all about saving your world.
